Job Description: In this role, you will be designing mechanical components and assemblies. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success.
What you will be doing:
1. Develop layouts and schemes for mechanical assemblies and parts.
2. Take ownership of your projects, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Lead Mechanical Designer.
3. Provide complete information for production processes, including materials, techniques, and quality requirements.
4. Support the design group to meet the overall performance and delivery targets.
5. Provide guidance and support to Graduate Mechanical Designers to ensure best design practice is achieved.
Requirements:
1. A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar.
2. Experience in motorsport industries preferred.
3. Thorough knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, materials, and analysis.
4. Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.
5. Ability to prioritize in a time-pressured environment and manage personal deadlines.
6. Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently while meeting challenging deadlines.
7. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.).
8. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
