Engineering Shift Manager (Food Manufacturing)
Location: Near Wolverhampton
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, days only (5am – 5pm)

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a dedicated Engineering Shift Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineering professional with leadership experience to step into a pivotal role, leading and managing a team of engineers to optimize performance and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of engineers, focusing on performance, safety, and operational efficiency.
* Recommend and implement improvement initiatives to enhance team and departmental performance.
* Ensure all documentation and recording systems are accurately maintained on a daily basis.
* Uphold high standards of product and personal safety, complying with HSE and legislative requirements through rigorous risk assessment, control, and HACCP audits.
* Promptly escalate issues through the appropriate channels and communicate findings and actions as needed.
* Conduct root cause analysis on significant lost time events and establish corrective actions with timelines.
* Manage parts and services procurement in a cost-effective manner to meet budget requirements.
* Oversee Legal Compliance checks on-site to ensure all engineering processes meet regulatory standards.
Requirements:
* Apprentice trained/time-served Engineer or NVQ Level 3 equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in an engineering and fault-finding role within an FMCG environment or similarly fast-paced manufacturing operation.
* Multi-skilled engineering background with a solid foundation in maintenance and troubleshooting.
