T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Payroll Advisor on behalf of a successful and rapidly growing services company based in Gloucester. This role will accommodate hybrid working (3 days a week required in the office, 2 days at home).
As Payroll Advisor, working as part of a small payroll team, your responsibilities will include the following:
1. Manage email inbox queries from people across the business, acting as a point of contact for employee queries and payroll related data requests.
2. Preparation of monthly payrolls across multiple entities.
3. Accurately prepare and input payroll data into Sage 50 Cloud Payroll to include starters, leavers, and amendments within the required timescales.
4. Administer and calculate staff pay, including overtime, SSP, SMP, pensions, student loans, court orders and other adjustments.
5. Processing mileage deductions into Sage 50 Cloud Payroll.
6. Processing payrolls in line with HMRC legislation and focusing on compliance; including ability to manually calculate tax, NI, student loans, etc., where required to validate system calculations.
7. Uploading contribution files to the pension provider.
8. Supporting month and year end processes, including payrolling benefits in kind, P60 and P11D forms.
To be successful in this Payroll Advisor role, you will demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge and understanding of tax, NI and relief at source and salary sacrifice pensions.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Competent user of Excel.
6. A team player happy to get stuck in.
