In recent years, Mamas & Papas has gone through a real growth spurt, growing to over 1000 employees, situated across our full estate of 23 Mamas & Papas stores and 40+ concession sites across the UK and ROI, adding to this our large single site warehouse & distribution centre, as well as our Head office based on the outskirts of Huddersfield.
Due to the variety of Facility elements, our facilities model utilizes the services of a 3rd party facilities management group in its core, predominantly across maintenance and repair.
Adding to this, local contractors across fire, security, waste management, cleaning, and auditing and certifications, our Facilities Manager strategically orchestrates the proactive and reactive running of our facilities to the highest degree, on time, budget, and to the standards required to support our colleagues and customers across the estate.
With some amazing news internally, we are looking to recruit a FACILITIES MANAGER on a 12 month fixed term contract, based at our Huddersfield Head office.
This role, managing, inspiring, and developing 2 facilities administrators, will:
1. Arrange for planned and reactive compliance across Mamas and Papas estate and resulting reactive works where required.
2. Liaise with suppliers and managers on reviewing suppliers' performance, cost efficiencies, and regular monitoring and feedback on this, identifying risks, opportunities & improvements.
3. Manage facilities budget which includes authorizing invoices.
4. Utilize internal & external online platforms to enhance usability of our processes for colleagues and suppliers for effective communication.
5. Review content of contracts and liaise with our legal dept and suppliers to improve outcomes for the business.
6. Liaise with our procurement partners on supplier tenders when they are up for review to ensure that we get value for money and appropriate SLAs are in place to meet our unique requirements.
7. Agree with management on where improvements are required and implement them in line with budgets, carrying out monthly reviews with Retail Director and other senior stakeholders across the business.
8. Create a proactive model that is effective and efficient in reducing reactive actions where possible.
Current or recent experience in dealing with 3rd party facility management companies and 3rd party contractors is key to this role.
Please note: this role will be based 3 days a week at our Huddersfield Head office, with 2 days working from home as a typical week, but more days in the office may be required from time to time.
Although this is only a 12 month fixed term contract, we are not looking for someone to simply hold the hand of this team and Facilities role. We have some exciting projects ahead, where this role will be key.
