Role Summary
As a Quality Lead, you will support the Quality and hygiene Department, ensuring food safety and quality compliance across the site. You will also be a key contact for audits, customer complaints, and continuous improvement initiatives, driving high-quality standards while mentoring and supporting the quality team.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance:
* Ensure all operations adhere to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
* Lead quality audits and compliance checks, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards.
* Manage customer complaints, logging, investigating, and reporting findings to drive improvements.
* Oversee traceability procedures, internal audits, and pest control & cleaning management systems.
Leadership & Team Development:
* Supervise and develop the quality team, providing training and support to enhance skills.
* Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are motivated to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Support recruitment, retention, and staff development within the quality function.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management:
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance food safety and quality standards.
* Support cost-saving initiatives related to quality control, including chemicals, equipment, and laboratory testing.
* Ensure HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP procedures are maintained and continuously improved.
* Work with the Health & Safety team to develop and implement risk assessments for quality activities.
