HGV Technician
Location: Oxford
Working Hours: Days - up to 60 hour week - Monday to Friday or 4 on 4 off - days
Contract Type: Ongoing
The Automotive Maintenance division of Questech currently has an exciting new position located near Didcot. This is an opportunity to work on a mixed fleet of NHS and local authority vehicles. This is an ongoing temporary contract with the option of a permanent contract for the right individuals.
This is a days role and can be PAYE, UMBRELLA OR LTD.

Responsibilities:
1. Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
2. Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
3. Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if approved tester)
4. Support workshop team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
5. Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
6. Utilize skills and perform other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximize workshop efficiency
Skills & Experience:
1. Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification
2. Strong customer service skills
3. Good attention to detail
4. Ability to work autonomously
5. Ability to work within given time frames
6. Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing
7. Diagnostic skills
8. HGV Class 1 or 2 is desirable
