Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to the IT team.
2. Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and oversee the organisation's IT infrastructure, including both on-premise and cloud systems.
3. System Monitoring: Ensure smooth operation and quick resolution of issues within IT systems.
4. Strategic Planning: Develop strategies and plans for IT solutions that support business objectives.
5. Resource Coordination: Direct resources to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
6. Collaboration: Work with IT teams to ensure infrastructure architecture meets quality and security standards.
7. Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Data, Quant, and Analyst teams to achieve organisational goals and enhance service delivery.
8. Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
9. Risk Management: Develop contingency plans and risk management processes to ensure business continuity.
10. Budget Management: Oversee budget and contracts related to IT systems and vendors.
Required Experience
11. IT Infrastructure Management: Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure or platform operations, preferably in the finance sector.
12. Hybrid Architecture: Proven experience in developing and supporting hybrid on-premise and cloud architectures, especially with Microsoft Azure.
13. Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools and concepts.
Technical Skills
14. Microsoft Azure: Advanced knowledge of Azure and its integration with on-premise systems.
15. Network Infrastructure: Proficiency in Cisco technologies.
16. Virtualisation and Storage: Experience with virtualisation technologies, storage platforms, and cloud computing.
17. IT Security: Strong knowledge of IT security practices and tools.
18. Configuration as Code: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code tools and concepts.

19. Operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux Ubuntu.
20. Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure.
