We are looking for a Content Designer who will be responsible for creating and refining content on our Researcher platform. You will play a key role in supporting user journeys, by helping scientific researchers to understand our product and either apply for access, or use the data if access is granted. You will be embedded in a cross-functional team, helping to discover, define, develop and deliver new content strands that support our business and user needs. This will include content to support quarterly data releases, and technical documentation that guides new researchers through our tools. Our Future Health will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK. What you’ll be doing This role sits within our communications department, but it will involve working with numerous internal teams, with a particular emphasis on Product and Behavioural Science. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Designing new content for our research platform. Identifying the language we should use to communicate complex, scientific topics. Prototyping and testing content, working closely with product designers and behavioural scientists. Using data and research as evidence to inform your content design. Ensuring all content is accessible, usable, and aligned to our brand messaging. Helping to iterate our style guides and content standards, so that consistency is maintained across platforms and materials. Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to clearly and correctly represent complex requirements and processes. Requirements Given the scientific nature of the product, you’ll feel at ease dealing with technical content, and you’ll have the confidence to argue for a user-centric approach when working alongside Subject Matter Experts. Most importantly, you’ll be a supreme writer who crafts clean and compelling content. You’ll be comfortable working on everything from CTA micro-copy and web forms to longer digital pages that convey complex subject matter to a wide audience. You will also have some of the following skills and experience: Proven experience in a content design role. Excellent understanding of content design, including usability and accessibility. Evidence of championing content design to a wide-ranging group of stakeholders. Experience working in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary team, designing and developing content to achieve measurable outcomes. Experience of using data and research to inform content development. Experience of creating technical documentation and/or scientifically complex content, in lockstep with subject matter experts. Some experience working on a product used by health researchers is desirable. Benefits Up to £42,000 per annum basic salary.
