Your Role
Our Road Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel provides supply chain solutions, by connecting customers to our reliable networks across Europe. We support customers in the planning, execution, and management of transporting goods and services via our road networks. In this role, you will be able to develop your supply chain experience, by driving customer implementation and improvement initiatives. Developing your commercial awareness and supporting on key continuous improvement projects, whilst having the opportunity to work with our Road Logistics Senior Leadership Team and Road Logistics Director. Your Responsibilities
Throughout your programme, you will work with your Future Talent Lead, Graduate Mentor and Line Manager to define your next placements and make sure they are developing you into a future leader in the Road Logistics team.
As part of the Road Logistics programme, both graduates will spend time understanding and working in our business unit including our Operations, Commercial and Central Support teams. You will also be able to understand the rules and regulations around the operations and support the team with current project work. In this graduate role, you will leverage your commercial acumen for logistics to engage with large customers and apply your practical understanding of supply chain management. You can develop your project management or continuous improvement skillset by getting exposure to customer implementation and large value projects as part of our business execution. You will also learn as we develop our sustainability strategy across road transportation. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to gain senior management experience by working closely with the leadership team, providing you with valuable insights and the chance to make a significant impact on the organization. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to the success of the company. This will help you to gain the overall fundamentals of Road Logistics, gain experience and skills in leadership and people management.
Both programmes will offer the opportunity for a 3-month International Placement, and this is a great opportunity to experience a different culture and operation, build your network and to share/learn best practice approaches.
We will engage with you during your programme to discuss the different routes available after completion of your programme, and where your strengths are well suited. Your progression will be led by business demand, the area you have specialised in and the skills and competencies you have developed. Different career routes depend entirely on you as an individual and where your interests lie.
You will not be able to choose which programme you are selected for if successful on getting on our road logistics graduate programme as this will be decided by the programme lead following the recruitment process.
Your Skills and Experiences
Logistics is a complex and fast-paced environment, so people who enjoy challenge and problem-solving would thrive in this environment. You need to be able to work well with others, be confident to deal with customers and other third parties but also have an eye for detail and organisation skills. We are looking for raw talent rather than prior knowledge, but we want to see that you are interested in the logistics industry and where it could take you.
In addition, we value candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, and can communicate effectively with others. Good planning and organization skills are important, and you will need the ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
* A 2:2-degree qualification (achieved or expected) and 5 GCSEs Grade A-C including Maths & English
* You must be able to relocate/travel for placements
* A full UK driving licence (or will have one by start date) & access to transport

* Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day (09:00 - 17:30)
* Place of work: East Midlands Gateway Office – Will be expected onsite full time until performance expectations met & initial training completed. If approved, opportunity to work for hybrid working dependent on Graduate Placement
