About the role:
The HR team is a busy department forming part of COPC Business Support functions, supporting all staff across 4 campuses. We are seeking an experienced HR advisor to support with case work and employee engagement activities on an initial 6-month fixed term contract.
The role of HR Advisor will primarily provide high quality, professional people focused collegewide support on all case work, advising managers and employees on process and supporting investigations related to capability and performance, disciplinary, grievance and dignity at work as well as supporting with wellbeing check ins and Sickness Management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the 3 x campus HR Managers with case work management, being the first point of contact for employee investigations
* Advise managers on process
* Lead on the communication for all parties involved in case work ensuring timely completion
* Coordinate and lead on the capability process supporting development and retaining a high level of performance across all areas
* Review the Disciplinary Investigation process to streamline
* Ensure compliance with process and updated all parties of next steps
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
* Ideally CIPD Level 5, or CIPD level 3 with equivalent experience
* GCSE English and Maths
* Practical experience in a similar role
* Effective communicator
* Strong understanding of HR principles
* Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
