Roles and Responsibilities: • Lead operational efforts as the department focal for implementing, sustaining operational excellence initiatives, including: · Productivity, Overall Labor and Equipment Effectiveness (OLE, OEE) improvement · Gemba Walks · Electronic Performance Dashboards · 5S program · Participative Innovation System · Training · Communication of OPEX initiatives · Facility layout updates control · QRQC coaching and reporting · Hoshin Kanri and One Safran projects support · Value Stream Maps · Visual factory management • Focus on extending lean manufacturing practices, and lead efforts to implement machine networking • Organize failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to determine best application for lean improvements • Contribute to the company goals of safety improvement, process flow improvements, floor space optimization, lead-time reduction, elimination of defects, inventory reduction and on-time delivery • Implement visual cues and communication tools in both the factory and office environment to provide “status at a glance” and allow quick and simple detection of abnormal operating conditions. • Create continuous flow to reduce work in process, inventory, cycle times, and lead times. • Provide support to improvements established on the Hoshin Kanri and One Safran Transformation roadmaps. • Benchmarking activities with other Safran and external companies as required. • Project and Process Planning for the Operations Group: · Setup and follow project progress indicators · Organize milestone reviews and ensure their validation · Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a clear and timely manner · Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel • Lead Manufacturing 4.0 and LEAN 4.0 initiatives for the operations group • Support PRAP and ergonomic initiatives as defined by site sponsor and correspondent • Perform other related duties as required by the operations manager to support production Complementary Description Candidates for positions with Safran Landing Systems must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
