Role Overview
The role is part of the PPP support to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) programme within Sellafield. The PPP support to DAM is an integrated project team with members from PPP and Sellafield’s asset management capability.
The DAM programme is a site-wide delivery improvement programme supporting Sellafield’s improvement requirements. The programme aims to address issues with Sellafield’s asset management arrangements, with a targeted outcome of: “An integrated information line of sight from the asset through to the enterprise that integrates activities across the asset lifecycle, removes the burden of paper-based work processes, and engages everyone in the use of modern digital technologies to inform decision-making.”
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with PPP Capabilities, Sellafield (SL), and Intelligent Customer (IC) assurance providers to identify project assurance requirements. The Assurance Manager will act as the main conduit for coordinating engagement and assurance in PPP projects.
2. Lead the Integrated Assurance and Action Plan (IAAP) optimisation, including inflight projects IAAP leadership, coordination of PPP / LP gate assurance activities, and supporting tier 3 assurance activities.
3. Support project readiness for SPER, IPA, and Get to Gate processes regarding PPP requirements.
4. Develop, maintain, and improve the PPP CMP and associated governance.
5. Ensure consideration of project ‘get to gate’ and business case requirements, key risks and opportunities, Project Wide Objectives (PWOs), and milestones during assurance planning.
6. Manage IAAP standards, expectations, and communication at various organisational levels, including establishing regular meetings with relevant teams.
7. Manage the Portfolio level IAAP as a management tool for PPP Services to oversee projects and maintain information feeds & alignment with the client.
8. Develop project-specific assurance plans, schedules, and trackers.
9. Develop a PPP-wide IAAP training programme for project and function teams.
Skills / Essential
* Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the infrastructure industry, preferably in Nuclear power projects.
* Proven leadership skills and a track record of influencing and working effectively across all organisational levels.
* Understanding of APM approach to assurance.
* Experience working with integrated teams in a collaborative environment.
* Excellent communication and team-building skills.
* Experience in coaching and training project teams.
* Strong written, oral, comprehension, and presentation skills.
* Possession or ability to obtain government clearance (SC/SL – Nuclear).
