Overview
HEAD OF SALES SOUGHT FOR A REPUTABLE AND WELL-ESTABLISHED MANUFACTURER WITH AMBITIOUS GROWTH PLANS.
This is a fantastic opportunity for sales, marketing, and/or commercial professionals with experience in building merchants or the plumbing supplies industry who seek an autonomous role with significant responsibility. This position is part of succession planning, and you will be second-in-command to the managing director of a business unit within a larger group.
Key Responsibilities
* Proven track record in sales and key account management, with success leading a sales team.
* Building and maintaining relationships at senior levels.
* Contributing to company growth and demonstrating success in this area.
* Full P&L responsibility.
* Partnering with or working within the plumbing industry or with builders’ merchants is highly advantageous.
Role Details
Reporting to the Business Unit Director, you will manage and grow a successful business unit, aligning people, processes, and products for strategic growth. Responsibilities include:
* Business performance reviews
* P&L management
* Operational planning
* Overseeing sales, product management, NPI, marketing, customer service, supply chain, and operations
* Managing key client accounts, with up to 40% of your time dedicated to developing relationships at the director level
It is essential that the candidate demonstrates success in developing key relationships that aid growth, profitability, and ongoing success.
