About the role A Cyber Risk Analyst will support our cyber reinsurance broking team in assessing, quantifying, and managing cyber risk exposures, using data driven techniques and models. This role is ideal for someone with an analytical mindset, a keen interest in cyber threats, and an understanding of risk modelling. You will work closely with brokers, actuaries, and analytics specialists to support risk transfer solutions in the reinsurance market. Key Responsibilities Cyber Risk Assessment & Analytics Assist in the evaluation of cyber risks associated with insurance and reinsurance portfolios. Support cyber catastrophe modelling and scenario analysis for risk aggregation. Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments of cyber threats, and their potential financial impacts. Threat Intelligence & Market Research Monitor emerging cyber threats, incidents, and regulatory developments affecting the (re)insurance market. Support the development of industry insights and trend analysis to help cedant decision making Run analysis on cyber risk accumulation and systemic risk factors. Portfolio & Exposure Management Assist in analyzing cyber exposure data from cedents and clients. Support the development of risk appetite frameworks and accumulation controls. Work with actuarial and broking teams to assess cyber risk pricing and reinsurance structures. Candidate Profile Some of the skills and experience required to apply to this role include: Experience: previously worked in cyber risk modelling, whether actuarial, catastrophe modelling, exposure management or a similar field. Familiarity with cyber risk models (e.g., RMS, CyberCube, Cyence, etc) Knowledge of cyber incident trends and their impact on financial losses. Exposure to reinsurance structures and portfolio risk management. Education: Degree in numerical field such as computer science, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field. Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk modeling, and financial risk management. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and assess systemic cyber risk exposures. Communication Skills: Strong ability to present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
