Job Title: Female Personal Assistant - "This role requires a female carer due to the nature of the client’s care needs related to their past experiences with past trauma and personal care requirements. This is considered a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010."
Location: Employer's Home (Stafford, ST17**) and Local Community
Hours: 6 hours per day, 4 days per week (24 hours total), to be used flexibly as per the needs of the employer and her main carer (Father).
Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour.
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Personal Assistant to support a 29-year-old female employer with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). This role involves providing support with daily tasks in the employer's own home as well as within the local community. The ideal candidate will be someone who is patient, adaptable, and able to build rapport through meaningful interactions, offering practical and emotional support while respecting the employer’s boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the employer with making breakfast and tidying up afterwards.
Help the employer choose an outfit for the day and ensure dirty clothes are placed in the washing basket.
Prompt and assist the employer with brushing her teeth and hair.
Encourage and support the employer to become familiar with household tasks such as putting the washing on and tidying up.
Support the employer with completing activities such as colouring, baking, reading, or watching films.
Community Support:
Support the employer in attending appointments.
Assist the employer to access the community for activities like going for a coffee or visiting the hairdresser. This includes helping with practicalities like having appropriate footwear, locking the door, and navigating the shops.
Provide emotional support in public spaces and assist with social interactions, ensuring the employer feels comfortable and confident.
Encouraging Engagement:
Spend quality time with the employer to help foster trust and build a safe, supportive relationship.
Encourage the employer to engage in conversation, or simply provide a listening ear if the employer prefers silence.
Meal Support:
Assist the employer in preparing lunch and tidying up afterward.
Key Skills & Qualities:
Fluency in English: Good communication skills are essential.
Flexibility & Creativity: Ability to think on your feet and adapt to varying circumstances.
Comfortable with Silence: Be able to engage in conversation or respect quiet moments, depending on the employer’s needs.
Driving & Car: Must be able to drive and have access to a car. Business class insurance is required.
Enhanced DBS Check: Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check at the employer’s costs.

Responsive & Proactive: Ability to work with unpredictability and adapt to situations as they arise.
Pacing: Be patient and able to work at the employer’s pace.
Respectful of Boundaries: Demonstrate a high level of respect for the employer’s personal boundaries and emotional needs.
Additional Information:
This role is based primarily in the employer’s home but will also require regular trips into the local community. You will be working closely with the employer and her main carer (Father), so it is essential to be collaborative and empathetic in your approach.
