Job overview
We have an opportunity for a flexible, enthusiastic, motivated experienced Radiographer to join a friendly team based at Hull Royal Infirmary with rotation to other x-ray departments.
As an experienced Radiographer, you’ll join a remarkable team that’s committed to great care, a fulfilling career, and working closely with patients and partners.
Main duties of the job
The main X-ray departments are based across 2 sites, Hull Royal Infirmary in the city centre and Castle Hill Hospital situated on the outskirts, approximately 5 miles away.
Hull Royal is a Major trauma centre and has recently undergone a major £8 million development of the emergency department. Castle Hill is the regional oncology and cardio-thoracic centre. We have 4 satellite x-ray departments in the community located in East Hull, Hornsea, Withernsea, and Beverley, plus a new Community Diagnostic Centre opening early 2025 soon in the centre of Hull.
The largest of these is East Riding Community Hospital located on the outskirts of Beverley. These departments provide plain film imaging for referrals from GP's, OPD's, community wards, and Minor Injuries Units.
Minimum requirements are BSc or DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography and 2 years post qualification experience is desirable.
Professional Development reviews are undertaken using E-PDR.
Working for our organisation
The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.
Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.
As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery, and oncology.
We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled, and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership, and our community.
