Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the preparation and serving of hospitality refreshments at college meetings and events.
2. Ensure that our kitchens, bakery, and restaurant have sufficient provisions for the week's business and classes.
3. Maintain high standards of cleaning in kitchens and front of house areas for learners and customers.
4. Support other catering operations in the college.
5. Prepare kitchens for classes with all necessary resources.
6. Supervise the opening and closing of kitchens after classes to expected standards.
7. Ensure correct procedures are followed when recording temperatures and safe storage of foods.
8. Maintain high food hygiene standards.
9. Responsible for placing food and consumables following the college budgets.
10. Cost food menus to ensure profitability.
11. Place orders with suppliers ensuring the best quality and value for money is achieved.
12. Conduct monthly health and safety audits and stock takes.
