Employment Opportunity The Board of Trustees wish to provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Peripatetic EYFS L2 Teaching Assistant. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to become part of our school team. The post holder will be based at Village Primary Academy. The Harmony Trust was established in February 2014 and currently has 15 schools. This brings with it exciting opportunities for career progression and development for existing and future employees. The successful candidates will have: NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience or willingness to work towards A recognised Early years level 3 qualification Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework Completion of Department for Education Teacher Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term) A full and relevant qualification accepted by the Department for Education (DfE) to work in an early years setting Secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Statutory Framework. Good understanding of a child’s development and learning. The successful candidates will be able to: Support children’s Communication and Language development by engaging in high-quality interactions. Use their Initiative and contribute towards creating a stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors. Assist with the preparation of teaching resources or materials. Work with groups of children across a range of learning activities. Provide support to individual pupils, including those with special educational needs ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. Support children with their personal care. Communicate sensitively and effectively with all stakeholders including staff, children and parents/carers.
