Support Worker - Supported Accommodation - Colchester and Ipswich
£12.02 per hour + £35 per sleep in

We seek caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team.
About the Role
We aim to provide specialised quality care for young people aged 16–18 years. The primary role of our support workers is to make a difference in the lives of the young people residing in our homes. You will work on goals to assist them in living a happy and fulfilled life, teaching independence, promoting education, and ensuring their health and well-being. We believe in engaging young people in all aspects and decisions in their lives; by working together, we enable them to be in control of their future.
You’ll work with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build a relationship and trust bond with the young person living at the home. You’ll support them in learning key skills to live as an independent person and assist them as they progress into young adulthood.
Shift Patterns
Shift patterns are flexible and vary based on the needs of the home. Our usual shifts can include 9 am - 10 pm. We require staff to be available to cover sleep-in shifts, a maximum of three per week unless you wish to pick up extra shifts.

Essential

* Ability to keep accurate records, carrying out all recording and reporting in a person-centered, factual manner
* Work safely and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance so our young people can trust, feel safe, and have confidence in the support we provide
* Willingness to attend training and further your knowledge
* Good communication and written skills; fluent in English
* Positive, with a problem-solving approach to challenging situations
* Reliable, with good timekeeping
* Confident with lone working
Desirable
* Experience in working with young people/social care
* Experience lone working with young people
* A basic knowledge of Ofsted
* Qualification in Childcare, e.g., NVQ
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.02 - £12.52 per hour
