We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team in Windlesham. The role involves the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of materials such as paving stones, gravel, and other construction materials to clients across various locations. As an integral part of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, excellent customer service, and the safe operation of the HIAB crane, using the hook and sling.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle fitted with a HIAB hook and sling to deliver a variety of materials (e.g., paving stones, gravel, aggregates) to client sites.
Ensure all deliveries are made on time and according to customer specifications.
Conduct pre-delivery checks on the vehicle and HIAB crane to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload materials using the HIAB crane, ensuring safe handling and secure loading.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client queries and ensuring satisfaction during deliveries.
Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
Perform basic maintenance checks and report any issues with the vehicle or equipment to the fleet manager.
Work collaboratively with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (C).
HIAB (Loader Crane) certification and experience operating a HIAB crane.
Using Hook and Sling
A clean driving record and good knowledge of UK road safety regulations.
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or materials delivery sector.
Excellent customer service skills and a professional, courteous attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
Physical fitness and ability to lift and handle heavy loads safely.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
Knowledge of health and safety standards related to vehicle operation and crane lifting.
Experience with a variety of materials handling.
