Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Active Recovery CICS (Community Intermediate Care Service) as one of four new Operational Shift Coordinator positions. You will oversee the operational delivery of a range of planning and administrative functions and coordinate the staff on duty.
Active Recovery CICS provides care and clinical support to patients at home, to avoid hospital admission or facilitate early discharge from hospital. Active Recovery CICS is a multi-disciplinary team providing short-term intensive rehabilitation/reablement following a holistic assessment by generic assessors. Active Recovery CICS is a city-wide service providing rehabilitation to adult patients within their own homes.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of the full Microsoft Office package in order to be successful. You will be expected to cover shifts on a Rota basis from 6am to 10pm, 365 days a year including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Main duties of the job
* Live co-ordination of the shift to include live changes to the planning schedule
* Maintain live list of patients and their requirements
* Manage tasks affecting individual patient care requirements and implement changes in a timely manner
* Support operational plans to deliver efficient, effective, and innovative service
* Assist the Active Recovery Management Team to deliver the service to meet the agreed aims and objectives.
* Maintain staff capacity effectively and efficiently to meet the demands of the service.
* To work on a rota basis ensuring cover is provided Monday to Sunday 6am – 10pm to support staff and maintain the service delivery.
* Provide supervision and operational support to all administrative staff on shift

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 12 months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project’s implementation and the timescales associated with this.
