A School for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their supportive team in a long-term position starting immediately or in September 2024. The children in this school range from 5 to 16 and have a range of mental health needs. This is therefore an ideal role for an aspiring Behaviour Therapist to work alongside young people with behavioural challenges and assist them in their learning.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your daily duties will involve raising the academic and emotional attainment of the students and assisting the teacher in delivering fun and engaging lessons. The class of children will be extremely challenging and therefore you will need to manage their behaviour accordingly and remain calm when challenging and complex situations arise. You will receive all the necessary training to deal with difficult behaviour and gain fantastic experience needed to become a Criminal Justice Officer.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Recent university graduate with a C in GCSE Maths and English.
2. Confidence working with difficult behaviour is essential.
