Innovative and forward-thinking, the business is seeking to appoint a Plant Financial Controller responsible for plant financial activities. As Financial Controller you will join the Plant Senior Leadership Team in Carlisle. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and functionally to the EMEA Finance Director, the role is part of the EMEA business. This is a well-established plant undergoing growth through new investment. Boasting on of the biggest sites in Europe, this is of key strategic importance to the EMEA region. Main Responsibilities Monitor the financial key performance indicators of the plant, according to the Group accounting rules, USGAAP and local statutory requirements Ensure strong internal controls framework and compliance to internal policies Manage the finance department team of three Financial Controls Prepare and analyse budget and rolling forecasts, and ensure reporting is delivered on time in full Monitor manufacturing costs and analyse variance against standard manufacturing costs Support the other plant departments in analysing their cost performance Control, alert and implement corrective actions in case of identified financial issues Participate actively in the continuous improvement programme to achieve World Class Performance in the finance area Internal Controls Take responsibility for the accuracy of the financial statements in line with the internal rules, actualise and follow internal controls and procedures Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance YOU: Qualified accountant: CIMA, ACA, ACCA experienced working in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge and understanding of costs and variances analysis, financial control, reporting, and manufacturing accounting Able to meet tight deadlines in a complex and demanding environment Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a sound knowledge of Finance ERP (Onestream) and ERP systems (preferably SAP) An effective communicator with good interpersonal and leadership skills at all levels both internally and externally Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team player Highly organised, with strong administrative skills Able to change and improve existing ways of working In addition to basic salary the company is offering 15% annual bonus, company car, 9% employer contribution pension scheme, health care provision.
