POST TITLE: Science Teacher LOCATION: Kirkham, Lancashire START DATE: January 2025 CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time A secondary school in Kirkham are looking to appoint a Science Teacher who is available to teach a full-time timetable; from January 2025. The successful Science Teacher will preferably specialise in Chemistry, however the school are happy to meet with Science Teachers whose main specialism is Biology or Physics too. The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective Science lessons, and will work closely with a dedicated team of teachers and support staff. You will create a safe and inclusive environment, where every student feels valued and supported. Main responsibilities: To promote the general progress and wellbeing of all students, reporting concerns to the appropriate staff member. To ensure that students experience an educational programme that is personalised to their needs, developing their skills and abilities. To assess, record and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students in line with school policy. To actively review and evaluate your own performance and quality of teaching. To be considered for this role, you must have: A UK teaching qualification. Experience teaching Science to GCSE level. A passion for working with young people, who may face additional challenges in their education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
