In this role, you will be responsible for a repair stage in the repair process of Olympus Surgical Endoscopes, following approved repair processes and procedures.
Your responsibilities
* Completion of repairs including product disassembly, refurbishment, repair, assembly, and testing processes in accordance to the Technical Services Global Guideline and the relevant regulatory standards.
* Repair in line with method sheets and/or repair manuals, including other relevant processes and procedures.
* Adhere to health and safety requirements as determined by risk assessments.
* Escalate Incidents, Near Misses and Identified Hazards.
* Responsible for the quality of the repair, meeting the minimum target requirements, including inspection checks throughout the repair process.
* Achieving customer satisfaction by working to a minimum productivity and quality requirement and in line with divisional goals.
* Use of specialist calibrated tooling and test equipment defined for the repair process.
* Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, working to relevant Lean and 6S expectations.
* Problem solving/fault finding to rectify defects correctly.
* Embracing Shop Floor Management in your area by using principles such as FIFO (First In, First Out) for repairs.
* Using service management and administration systems to record all relevant information for the repairs including the process times.
* Previous experience in a technical role or fine hand skills gained through other means.
* Knowledge of how to carry out mechanical/electrical tasks and/or soldering is highly advantageous.
* Ability to read and understand detailed technical instructions.
* Flexible approach where required.
* Self-motivated, with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and in an organised manner.
* Good computer literacy, including the use of email and data entry.
