About the Role
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our manufacturing team as a Setter. In this role, you will be responsible for setting stones in a variety of jewellery pieces using precious metals from silver to platinum. You will work across a broad range of setting styles, including claw, rubover, channel, and grain, as well as marking out and setting from blanks.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work independently. Flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to meeting customer expectations are key. Previous experience in jewellery manufacturing is highly desirable, along with strong handeye coordination and a genuine passion for high-quality craftsmanship.
Role Responsibilities
1. Work to set lead times, handling a variety of precious metals and stones including customer-supplied stones.
2. Confidently set stones across a wide range of styles and settings, including claw, rubover, channel, and grain. Ability to mark out and set from blank is essential.
3. Interpret and work from specification sheets to ensure pieces meet customer requirements.
4. Liaise with the CAD team to clarify bespoke customer requests and ensure accurate execution.
5. Inspect all stones upon receipt and report any imperfections to the Production Administrator or Workshop Coordinator before setting.
6. Perform quality checks on your own work prior to submitting to final QC, ensuring each piece meets high standards.
7. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workbench, ensuring tools are kept in good working condition and fit for use.
8. Sweep down workbench area at the end of each shift and ensure that debris collected is sent for refining.
9. Support and uphold a safe and healthy working environment in line with company policies and standards.

Qualifications and Education
17. Jewellery bench work qualification or equivalent experience.
18. GCSE English-sufficient to read the production tickets.
19. GCSE maths-sufficient to understand basic technical drawing and transpose dimensions to the product.

Salary:
21. Negotiable/dependent on experience
Working Hours:
22. 37.5 hours per week, 07:15 am 15:15 pm / 08:00 am 16:00 pm.
