Job summary The Greener NHS function, launched in 2020, is responsible for supporting the system's world-leading commitment to deliver a net zero health service by 2045. We are recruiting a Band 8A Strategy Manager - Carbon Analytics (Data) in the Data and Analytics team within the Greener NHS national programme. This is a great opportunity to apply data and analytical tools to address the major threat that climate change poses to our health as well as our planet. We are seeking a highly motivated data professional who can work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build relationships across the health system and sustainability community. This is an important role within the Data sub-team, leading the delivery of the Greener NHS programme Data and Product Strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience of the development of data collections, metrics, and analytical products to support monitoring and reporting for a NHS delivery programme or equivalent. Experience of the application of advanced analytics techniques and technologies is essential. As a strategy manager within the Greener NHS team, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team at the heart of decision-making, leading national programmes, working closely with stakeholders and senior leaders to analyse and implement of the ideas set out in the Delivering a Net Zero NHS strategy and NHS Long Term Plan. Main duties of the job The Greener NHS national programme delivers programmes for the NHS and where relevant the wider health sector including: Delivering a Net Zero plan for the NHS; Delivering the LTP commitments in relation to carbon, waste and water, reducing single use plastics and reducing air pollution; Supporting Regions, networks and STPs to embed changes across the sector; Air Quality deliverables and approaches across the NHS, public health and Local Government.
