Location: Department of Engineering Science, Oxford Thermofluids Institute, Southwell Building, Osney Mead, Oxford, OX2 0ES About the role We are seeking a full-time Maintenance and Experimental Installation Support Technician to join the Oxford Thermofluids Institute at the Department of Engineering Science (Osney Mead, Oxford). This is a permanent post. The OTI houses some of the most advanced high-speed flow and turbine facilities in the UK. The Maintenance and Experimental Installation Support Technician will be responsible for assisting the Institute’s research groups with building, maintaining, and repairing both new and existing experimental facilities. This could include new wind tunnels (both regular and hypersonic), pressurised pipe networks for media ranging from water and air to hydrogen or CO2, and other supporting systems. The Technician will also assist in the maintenance of the building’s compressed air facilities as well as perform general maintenance tasks while working within the Building Services team. About you You should possess a relevant formal qualification in an appropriate subject and have several years of post-training experience.
