You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, while also collaborating with others. You’ll communicate regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to serve our clients effectively.
Our Manchester Business Restructuring team is dynamic and fast-paced, providing a stimulating environment for growth and development. We are looking to recruit a Junior Data and Business Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with experience in professional services or industry, with strong data analytical skills to support a variety of advisory assignments.
We are looking for an individual with great problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and an agile outlook, who can apply analytical techniques to varied scopes and datasets.
The role is primarily focused on the collection, transformation, analysis, and visual reporting of data. You will be part of a vibrant team, providing data analysis and business insights to support our clients.
You’ll be someone with:
* Knowledge of business process transaction cycles and core financial data.
* Experience in data matching, data profiling, and data transformation.
* Experience in business process analysis, financial control analysis, forensic investigation, and other relevant areas.
* Strong skills in using Excel for data analysis.
* Experience with data visualization software (PowerBI preferred).
* Experience using SQL and ETL processes.
* Ability to present data and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Willingness to take initiative and drive projects forward.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong problem-solving ability.
Desirable Skills
* Basic knowledge of financial modeling techniques.
* Understanding of statistical methods in business analysis.
* Understanding of database schema design and implementation.
