Role overview
Reporting into our Head of Policy Fraud, this role is responsible for leading our Policy Fraud and Intelligence teams. You'll be working with the wider business and stakeholders across the industry, law enforcement and regulatory bodies to help identify criminality and support the referral of evidence and intelligence to help supress criminality targeted at the business.
Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in:
* Proactively detecting and preventing fraud, minimising the impact on genuine customers and delivering excellent customer outcomes throughout
* Providing effective portfolio management, including proactive review of workstreams and conversation to detected benefit
* Owning the fraud investigation strategies and analysis - ensuring we have the right strategies in place to tackle fraud in any form (including the deployment of tools and data to minimise risk)
* Mitigating operations and claims spend by identifying threats and leakage
* Demonstrating effective use of all available MI, intelligence products and strategic data to prioritise investigations, team resources and driving team performance
* Proactively seeking opportunities to identify and improve fraud detection capability across the organisation
Essential skills/experience:
* A background in understanding the principles relating to motor insurance (including legislation impacting insurer obligations) and a good understanding of personal lines insurance
* A strong understanding (with the ability to provide examples) of potential risk and how this relates to policy and application fraud and the counter fraud processes used to minimise these risks
* Policy or fraud related experience within motor insurance
