Job Description
Due to continued growth our Telford site are now recruiting for a Customs Administrator to join their friendly team on full time permanent basis.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 8am-8pm.
Salary: £24,721 per annum.
As a Customs Administrator you will be responsible for the export of goods to the EU on behalf of our customers.
Key Duties of a Customs Administrator:
* Ensuring area KPI’s are met on a daily basis.
* Ensuring all day to day Customs procedures and processes are met.
* Completing and collating paperwork for export and despatch.
* Compliance with site Health and Safety procedures.
* Maintaining excellent internal and external relationships.
* Liaising with suppliers and carriers to obtain specific instructions and information on associated customs requirements prior to receiving and shipping.
* Reviewing customer documentation to ensure that all data required is obtained.
* Ensuring relevant checks have been completed prior to shipping.
* Ensuring accurate data entry into WMS and Customs software applications.
* Carry out visual checks on goods in warehouse.
* Additional tasks as directed by Customs Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications
* Able to work using own initiative to strict deadlines with minimal and sometimes no supervision.
* Willingness to develop own skills and experience.
* Exceptional Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Able to adapt positively to change.
* Good IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
