An exciting opportunity to join an established Children in Care Nursing team has arisen for a permanent 30-hour post. Although the service operates Monday to Friday, covering core hours of 9-5, there is a requirement to show flexibility to meet service needs and the needs of children and young people.
We are looking for committed and creative individual to be part of the team taking the next steps in improving health outcomes for our Children in Care.
We are looking to recruit a motivated practitioner, with initiative and drive, and up to date knowledge of the Children in Care health agenda. You will work as part of a team delivering statutory health assessments and health interventions for a defined caseload. You will need to have a broad understanding of children and young people's health issues. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate flexibility and creative thinking in respect of service delivery.
Knowledge of recent documents and strategies driving the development of services for Children in Care is essential as well as understanding the principles of safeguarding children and young people.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are required with a commitment to team working as well as being able to demonstrate working using own initiative. You will work closely with GPs, community paediatricians, children and young people and their families, our partner agencies and Commissioners to deliver a quality service.
An Enhanced DBS with checks against the Children's and Adults' Barred Lists will be obtained during pre-employment checks. Applicants will be required to see children and families face to face within a community setting.
