What you'll do
As part of our Finance FastStart Graduate Programme, you will rotate across our Commercial, Corporate Finance, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams. Your role will involve driving strong financial performance by accurately preparing and posting accounting journals, participating in annual financial cycles, and producing forecasts and analysis.
Additionally, you will build business partnering relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders and provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support decision making. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring robust financial controls and contributing to audit requests.
Throughout the programme, we will provide the necessary support, including assistance with professional qualification studies, building a strong support network and providing access to technical guidance.
Who you are
As a Graduate joining Sainsbury's, you are a driven and ambitious individual who is eager to pursue a career in finance and motivated to study for your accountancy qualification.
You possess the following essential criteria:
* You are working towards or have completed a relevant 2:1 degree.
* You possess strong critical thinking skills and can analyse complex problems, identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
* Your analytical mindset enables you to transform data into meaningful insights, while your self-motivation and ability to prioritise workloads ensure you meet deadlines.
* As an excellent communicator, you can effectively collaborate and build trusted relationships with stakeholders, both within and outside the finance department.
* You thrive in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
With a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, you are ready to embark on a rewarding journey as a Finance Graduate, supported by our comprehensive training, study leave, and mentorship opportunities.
