The Operational Trainer will be focused on supporting our business across Dorset in their Learning & Development requirements. You’ll work as part of the team of H&SC Trainers, reporting to the Learning Manager. You’ll design & deliver mandatory and essential training and will have the responsibility of new starter induction, annual training requirements, the Care Certificate and ad hoc workplace assessment amongst other duties. Key Responsibilities: Creating & delivering relevant in-house training programmes and resources for front-line colleagues. Selecting & using the most appropriate training methods and activities, taking a blended learning approach (including eLearning, virtual classroom, and face-to-face delivery) Ensure that the training you deliver meets legal and regulatory compliance guidelines (CQC) Performing needs assessment to identify knowledge gaps and areas in need of improvement Champion and drive forward the digital and functional skills of the workforce Use a range of multimedia and IT systems to collect, monitor and evaluate data in relation to talent & learning activities. Use the data to report on trends, concerns, and solutions Support colleagues to identify their own learning needs and applications for external qualifications as needed. Amending and revising learning and development programmes as necessary, to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment and ensuring continuous improvement. Designing bespoke learning that is aligned to Care Dorset’s strategy & values Work with Managers to ensure their workforce has the skills and training needed to deliver effective and compassionate care. Responding to the local, operational requirements of the workforce. The Successful Candidate Should Have: Essential: Good understanding, wide range of experience of Social Care and all essential training required by the sector Demonstrable experience of active involvement in design and/or delivering training and learning and development Demonstrable experience of creating learning materials Have a positive attitude to seeking new ways of encouraging people to stretch their abilities to the full Good coaching and people skills and be able to demonstrate creative skills in course design and training facilitation. Have an entrepreneurial approach to promotion of learning programmes Good IT skills Driving licence and access to own vehicle to travel to various locations. Desirable: It would be advantageous if you hold a teaching or training qualification within a relevant field or be willing to work towards one.
