Job Description
A key operational role within a rapidly expanding luxury beauty brand, the Senior Supply Planner will be responsible for ensuring an efficient supply of products to meet customer and business needs. We are looking for someone with supply planning experience, who is an excellent communicator and relationship-builder, and is able to identify and implement continuous improvement activities. This exciting role is ideal for an individual that is willing to get stuck into the detail of the supply plan whilst still managing to focus on the big picture. *This position is temporary under a one-year contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creating the 12 months global supply plan to ensure stock is procured and allocated across the network in an efficient manner for China market.
* Utilize effective problem-solving techniques to resolve issues and negotiate with appropriate department and develop tactical plans when missed due dates occur to bring project back on track. Also notifying management of critical issues and next steps.
* End to end PO management of free issue components and finished goods.
* China purchase plan management.
* Working closely with the new product development supply team to ensure that replenishment orders are placed after launch and any supply risks are actively monitored.
* Building strong relationships with third party suppliers to ensure that critical product shortages are resolved, and lead-times are kept to.
* Communicating supply risks to the Supply Chain Planner Manager in an informative and effective manner.
* Inputting to the S&OP process to flag sales and financial risks due to supply and inventory constraints.
* Optimize Safety Stock based on ABC analysis and related rules to ensure optimal service levels.
* Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to manage monthly sailing schedules and import/export load planning.
* Lead quarterly deep dives into selected Supply Chain processes or challenges identifying gaps and/or opportunities for improvement. Drive implementation any solutions derived from root cause activities.
* Support implementation of supply chain metrics with internal and external partners to drive improvement and efficiency.
* Perform all other duties as assigned including taking on special projects which may become necessary to support departmental/organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2-4 years of related experience in Supply Chain and Operations in Beauty/Skincare industry
* Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) and ERP systems
* Must have free issue components experience
* Understanding and commercial awareness of the total supply chain including sales operations and demand planning
* Experience in a supplier facing role within a logistics or supply chain capacity
* Must be able to effectively apply root cause analysis techniques to solve problems
* Demonstrate end-to-end “value stream” leadership
* Metrics driven, results oriented and self-motivated
* Act as a positive change agent and demonstrate strong change management skills
* Strong organizational skills and analytical skills with the capability to perform independent data analysis, verify the results, and organize them into presentation form
* Strong collaborator with proven ability to build successful cross functional relationships across all levels of the organization
* Excellent prioritization, process optimization, and problem-solving capabilities; highly curious
* China market experiences advantageous
