Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday (overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate)
About the Role
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our well-established and respected engineering and manufacturing company. This is a hands-on role involving the maintenance and repair of a variety of engineering machinery, breakdown fixes, and scheduled maintenance tasks. Some electrical experience is beneficial, but the role is predominantly mechanical.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance and repair of machinery, including Mills, Lathes, Drills, and Sheet-Metal & Fabrication machines
2. Assembling and fitting new equipment
3. Carrying out electrical work across the site
4. General plumbing and site maintenance
5. Responding to breakdowns and implementing preventative maintenance
6. Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are met
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm (includes lunch and breaks)
Friday: 7:30 am - 12:00 pm
Overtime: Available and paid at 1.5x hourly rate

What We're Looking For
1. Mechanical engineering experience in a maintenance role
2. Some electrical experience preferred
3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Willingness to carry out varied tasks across maintenance, electrical, and plumbing
