Chief Registrar in Any Medical Speciality

Our trust has over 17,000 staff serving 2 million patients every year. It comprises Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, North Middlesex University Hospital and more than 30 services in the community.
We are very pleased to offer the appointment of two Chief Registrars from any medical specialty at the Royal Free London Hospitals NHS Trust. The post is based at Barnet General Hospital and offers an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join a committed team of consultants in this well-developed service.
We are looking for enthusiastic colleagues to work in the medicine department within a medical specialty. We have two posts to recruit to this year who will participate in the Royal College of Physicians Chief Registrar programme. The post holder will also be on the acute medical on-call rota.
Applicants for the post should be ST4 or above at the time of interview.

Person specification
Education & professional Qualifications
* Registration with the General Medical Council
* MBBS or equivalent
* ALS course
* MRCP Part 1
Experience
* Ability to demonstrate broad clinical skills in the management of all patients
* 6 months experience in medicine
Skills and aptitudes
* Awareness of principles of Risk Management
* Evidence of academic excellence e.g. BSc, prizes, distinctions etc
* Good understanding of the forces and drivers of influencing change in the NHS
Personal Qualities & attributes
* Able to communicate clearly & grammatically in both verbal & written English
* Able to work on own initiative
* Able to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
* Well organized.
