Job Description
The role involves working closely with teams to develop great work relationships and provide exceptional customer service. As General Manager, you will focus on collaborating with the back of house team to create well-balanced and nutritious menus catering to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
* Prepare and manage the catering budget to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
* Establish strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty.
* Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate catering staff.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
You will identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency. Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We seek a proven General Manager or Deputy General Manager with experience in high-volume, quality-focused environments. You should have:
* Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and support a team.
* Financial acumen, with experience creating and maintaining budgets and driving commercial performance.
* Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills.
* Able to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
* Meticulous organizational abilities and attention to detail.
* Empathetic, clear, and effective verbal and written communication.
