SEN Teaching Assistant - ASD & SEMH Provision - Full-Time - Coventry (CV7) - From £100 Per Day
Are you a compassionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are working with a fantastic SEN provision for students that offers a holistic curriculum tailored to individual learning and well-being.
This is a full-time role where you will provide 1:1 support, helping students engage, learn, and develop confidence in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students, adapting to their individual learning and emotional needs
- Assist with lessons and structured activities following the holistic curriculum
- Support the development of social skills, communication, and emotional regulation
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm and structured environment
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to ensure each pupil receives tailored support
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with ASD and SEMH pupils, ideally in an SEN setting
- A patient, understanding, and resilient approach to supporting students
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and work on a 1:1 basis
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
