We're on the lookout for a Li-ion Cell Processing Technician to join our well-established client based in the Abingdon area with an immediate start.
About the role:
The Li-ion Cell Processing Technician works within the Cell Engineering team to inspect, test and process Li-ion cells to be used in the production of bespoke, and new cell types
A successful candidate is likely to have:
1. Practical engineering experience
2. Basic use of hand tools
3. Knowledge of electrical test equipment, e.g. multi-meters
4. Basic skills with MS Office / Office 365 suite of programs
5. Attention to detail and a ‘right-first time’ attitude
6. The ability to execute critical, repetitive tasks accurately every time
7. An ability to work in a multi-project environment; to effectively prioritise and work to detailed scheduled plans and tight deadlines
8. Good literacy and numeracy
9. Good communication skills
10. Excellent people skills and be a proven team worker
The details:
The role is responsible for the processing of Li-ion cells for internal and external projects. The tasks include:
11. Delivery checks and physical storage of new cell batches
12. Electrical screening of new cell batches
13. Visual inspection of cells
14. Preparation of cells allocated to project build. This entails selection of cells from the store, wrapping in insulating tape, charging and laying out cells ready for manufacturing
15. Completing facility checks to a defined process
16. Destructive parts analysis on allocated cells
17. Support to vibration testing at cell level
18. Upkeep of Cell Processing areas
19. Completion of documentation
Working Hours:
Standard 37.5 hours per week. Mon – Fri - 7:45am to 4pm
