Position Title: Middle Office Services Analyst
Department Overview:
The Middle Office group takes on unique clients and projects that do not fit in the core business offering of WSO Services. This group is responsible for loan trade settlement.
Position Summary:
The goal of a Middle Office Analyst is to oversee Trade Settlement client relationships. Provide excellent customer service and loan settlement services to our growing client base while adhering to strict deadlines and targets. The position offers exposure to external industry entities such as portfolio managers, custodians, and agent banks.
Duties & Accountabilities:
1. Manage client portfolio(s)/Agency trades in our loan Trade Settlement outsourcing services.
2. Communicate proactively and effectively with clients.
3. Coordinate with trade counterparties to receive and review par and distressed trade documentation.
4. Coordinate with legal counsel and follow up, when needed, for distressed trades and participations.
5. Coordinate trade closings among clients, counterparties, and agents.
6. Review trade documentation, including trade confirms, assignment agreements, and funding memos for discrepancies prior to settlement using third-party systems.
7. Follow up on outstanding trades and keep current comments updated.
8. Deliver closing packets to custodians and clients before stated deadlines.
9. Report client metrics and trends on a monthly basis.
Education and Experience:
1. BA or BS or equivalent work experience.
2. Commercial awareness.
3. Knowledge of par and distressed loans and the documentation.
4. Knowledge of trade fee calculations.
5. Ability to read and interpret credit agreements.
6. Experience with daily loan transactions.
7. Exposure to ClearPar/TSI/WSO systems is a plus.
