Role:
We require volunteers who have a car and are willing to help with transporting people to medical appointments. We would also welcome volunteers to help with Fundraising and Befriending (via telephone or visiting).
You will receive reimbursement of mileage, parking and sundry relevant costs. Cromer Cares will pay for your DBS check and a free Safeguarding course.
If you would like to join our friendly team of volunteers and help to continue our invaluable services, we would love to hear from you.
Time commitment:
Volunteering hours vary depending on the role requirements; though the nature of our service means a transportation request will sometimes be at short notice. We aim to be as flexible as possible and can discuss more with those interested in the role.
About the organisation:
Cromer Cares is a Registered Charity, run by volunteers, founded in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. Our aim is to give help to families in our local Cromer community and surrounding villages who are struggling with financial difficulties due to a variety of issues, such as ill health, debt and disability, housing issues, and family breakdown. We can help with transport to medical appointments, collection of medical supplies, shopping vouchers, basic household goods, white goods, and beds for children. We can also refer on to other organisations for additional assistance with financial issues, physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
