Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) for the resourced provision for Key Stage 2 pupils with a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Working Pattern: 8:30am-3:30pm Monday Friday. Required From: March 2025 Closing Date: 4th February 2025 Interview/observation date: 12th February 2025 The Governors, staff and children at Lark Hill Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent and hardworking Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) to share in our vision within our school. The LSA will be responsible for working within our KS2 SEMH provision (The Oak), supporting teaching and learning for SEND children within the resource provision. Working closely with the SENDCo and Oak class teacher, you will support in the planning, organisation and delivery of the National Curriculum and programmes of therapeutic intervention, as well as collaborating with staff from the other SEMH provisions within the Partnership. Planning, resourcing and evaluation is a key process of this role. The role will also involve leading the resource base for PPA time, including the delegation of other resource staff. The successful candidate will: Have the appropriate teaching and learning level 3 diploma or equivalent qualification/or be willing to work towards it. Have experience of delivering and supporting the delivery of the KS2 National Curriculum. Promote and model the school values of NURTURE; ACHIEVE and RESPECT Promote and model the school vision including infusing honesty and integrity into all of school life Develop high quality professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents, carers and Governors. Contribute to the development of an inspiring culture for learning across the school Plan and differentiate to meet the needs of all pupils, including pupils with SEND. Deliver teaching and learning as part of a KS2 SEMH provision, taking a lead in the absence of the class teacher. Understand the importance and impact of teamwork and collaboration. Work in collaboration with professionals and school staff to work towards individual and group targets. Have the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities Understand attachment theory and the functions of behaviour, and have proven experience of positive behaviour management strategies and a commitment to the school s behaviour policy.
