Morson Recruitment are currently recruiting for x2 Solar Farm Electricians, who must have experience working on Solar farm / Solar farm maintenance, to work for a leading, Electrical Power Supply organisation in the UK, to cover various locations including- Greater Manchester or in the Wirral / Carlisle areas, depending on the successful candidates location. You will also be supplied with a company van and fuel card and training. The ideal candidates must hold a JIB / ECS Gold card and Hold a 2391 Testing and Inspection ticket and have experience working on Solar farms, as well as experience with solar servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis and string testing and Central inverter installation.
Locations: Greater Manchester area or Carlisle / Wirral area
Length of contract: 1-2 years.
Rate: up to £250 LTD per day, depending on previous experience
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am - 17.00pm
Overtime will be on offer.
Job description:
The Solar farm Electrician's role is to carry out all aspects of electrical installation work in accordance with the CDM regulations, scope, design, method statements, risk assessments and safe working practices. Electrical construction works must be carried out in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner. At all times maintaining a high level of quality, in order to pass inspection, testing and commissioning into service.
Work from plans and technical drawings to install Electrical installations across industrial and domestic settings including micro grid installations, Electric Vehicle installations (AC and DC) LV installations within secure sectors and plant rooms, Replacing solar panels and sting testing interiors.
Undertake works to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical infrastructure or electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools, power tools and other specialist equipment.
Inspect, test and commission electrical systems with the ability to identify any hazards or malfunctions. Diagnose faults taking the necessary action to rectify any findings.
Ensure activities do not cause unplanned disruption to operations of the electrical infrastructure, network, or other client systems.
Carrying out PPM in line with maintenance schedules.
Maintaining an accurate log of works undertaken and parts used.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
1. Experience in industrial, utility-scale and/or rooftop solar installation or solar O&M
2. Experienced with solar servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis
3. String and Central inverter installation or maintenance experience
4. JIB Gold card / ECS
5. 18th edition
6. City & Guilds 2391 - Testing and Inspection
7. Hold a full clean driving licence
