Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: £12.75 per hour Contract duration: Permanent Hours/working pattern: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You'll work 1560 hours per year, and on average, you'll work 30 hours per week but again, this will be flexible depending on operational demand.You'll be required to work regular weekends and bank holidays and the property is open Wednesday-Sunday. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Property Operations Manager, you’ll be part of a friendly and warm team of 2 Welcome & Service Assistants, supported by group of dedicated volunteers. As the public face of the property, you’ll be on your feet providing a warm and friendly welcome from both indoor and outdoor spaces. You'll provide information about the estate and its history, process admission transactions, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Alongside this, you'll help maintain high standards of site presentation across the property. You'll support the team to achieve performance targets and help grow support with visitors to the estate. This would include talking to our visitors about the benefits of a National Trust membership as well as highlighting how their support enables the National Trust to continue to look after the 500 special places in its care, for everyone, for ever. What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.
