Role
Support the Project Unit Managers, Project Managers, Project Development Managers, and Project Teams, responsible for providing support for the development and delivery of SP Energy Networks Transmission projects portfolio.
The role holder will support project units, development, and Technical Services, assist with key project management responsibilities including project setup, as well as supporting the onboarding and training of new staff in DMS. The role holder will become a recognized super user of Projectwise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Autodesk Vault.
What you'll be doing
* DMS experts, manage and co-ordinate access and permission rights to the systems for internal and external users. General and Pilot BIM projects.
* Collate and review contractor final file documentation, identify missing information, and liaise with CM/EMP to ensure correct information available to (IP6) Financially close project.
* Technical review of As-Built Drawings, register and upload to Autodesk Vault.
* Printing project drawings and issuing to Transmission Operations.
* Review ITT submissions, ensuring correct templates and identification being used, upload documentation to IBUY and issue to procurement.
* Provide support to the Engineering & Drawing office, scanning, stamping P&C Drawings.
* Support, monitor, and review suppliers and contractor documentation.
* Undertake training sessions on Document Management Systems with staff and external contractors.
* Attend project kick-off and scheme meetings.
* Project inspections / Audits (IAuditor).
* Maintain project unit databases, Engineering Document Lists, and Drawing Registers and Transmittals.
* Administration of records, drawings, and documents in accordance with the Quality Management System and other specifications.
* Establish and maintain project drawings registers and workbooks.
* Coordinate final project archive with Drakemire.
* Maintain DM and Codification user guides for General and Pilot project system.
* Storm Role - Provide support call taking when required.
What you'll bring
We are looking for individuals with good inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments, and businesses.
To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate as a minimum:
* HND or equivalent in business discipline/related area and/or previous Document Control experience.
* Significant experience of Projectwise/ACC/Autodesk Vault systems.
* Significant experience in final file / Project handover process.
* Experience in a Document Control role for major construction or utility construction projects.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
* High degree of IT literacy.
* Experience in ISO 9001 2015 and ISO 9001 19650 (BIM).
* Strong communication skills.
Minimum Requirements
* Previous experience in a Document Controller position or an Administrative role - within the Construction/Engineering sector.
* Working knowledge of maintaining project workbooks and databases.
