The Clinical Lead will be crucial in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance within the care home. Collaborating closely with nurses and carers, the primary focus will be on maintaining exemplary nursing and clinical care standards for residents. Supported by the management team, the Clinical Lead’s contributions will be vital to all clinical delivery aspects.
Reports to: Home Manager
Skills and Attributes
1. Clinical Expertise: Strong clinical skills and the confidence to lead the nursing team.
2. Leadership: Prior management experience or experience leading a small team.
3. Decision-Making: Ability to make clinical decisions and remain calm under pressure.
4. Mentorship: Passion for promoting best nursing practices and the ability to train, support, and mentor others.
5. Teamwork: Desire to encourage positive working relationships within the team.
6. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Knowledge: Good working knowledge of audits, safeguarding, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, and compliance.
Education and Qualification
1. NMC Registration: NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
