Role
VP of Sales Development - Europe-Africa (London Based) The position is critical for the growth of the Company, with considerable potential to grow market share worldwide through new and existing customer accounts. This growth will come from geographical expansion and developing sales networks in existing markets. The VP of Sales Development will be responsible for maximizing sales revenue through a network of international sales agents and developing direct customer accounts. The position involves a high degree of international travel and is suited to a confident and organized sales professional with experience in a similar role for a fragrance company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Achieve distribution width by opening new markets and developing existing territories.
* Identify channel opportunities and drive growth.
* Effectively negotiate with Principals.
* Build, develop, and strengthen distribution infrastructure.
* Provide feedback to Head Office on competition and field execution.
* Build and grow relationships with channel partners - distributors and key retail accounts.
* Own and drive all key sales initiatives originated by Head Office.
* Validate and check the implementation of the local marketing plan of different distributors.
* Ensure marketing tools provided by the Brand are adapted to market needs.
* Communicate the merchandising strategy to retailers/agents, ensuring consistency with local specifics.
* Provide timely feedback to Head Office regarding international sales performance.
* Ensure compliance of all field sales team members and distributors with company sales systems and ethical business practices.
The Ideal Candidate
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7 years of fragrance industry experience with an emphasis on international business development required.
* Fluency in English.
* Established relationships with distributors in Europe-Africa.
* Strong communication and presentation skills across cultures.
* Customer service oriented and organized.
* Natural ability to engage in business relationships.
* Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
* Negotiation and persuasion skills.
* Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced working environment.
* Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
* Ability to travel on short notice and 50% of the time.
