About the Room Leader position
An amazing opportunity has arisen within the MiChild group. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and organized individual to join our team as a Room Leader at Oberlin Nursery.
If you are highly motivated, flexible, experienced in early years work, and have a genuine passion for working with children, then this is the role for you.
Room Leader responsibilities include:
* Implementing the nursery curriculum as a room leader.
* Providing high standards of quality within the nursery, including environment, resources, and experiences for children.
* Leading planning and maintaining accurate children's records.
* Promoting and facilitating partnerships with parents, carers, and families.
* Supporting good practice regarding special needs and inclusion.
* Collaborating with the Childcare and Education team to improve childcare and education quality.
* Ensuring children's safety and staff understanding of safeguarding procedures.
* Meeting children's nutritional needs and complying with Food Safety Regulations.
* Adhering to relevant legislation, including the Children Acts 1989 and 2004, and company policies.
* Staying updated on developments in childcare and education policy and practice.
Room Leader requirements:
* Level 3 qualification.
* Understanding of Ofsted requirements.
* Knowledge of EYFS and experience working with children and families.
* Extensive safeguarding knowledge.
* Experience partnering with parents and outside agencies.
* Managing administrative tasks.
