We’re looking for a lawyer with excellent corporate legal expertise who is aiming to lead the corporate and debt legal work streams for the company and advise on a variety of other commercial and strategic matters. Our Legal Team sits at the heart of Zilch and works hand-in-hand with the founders, C-suite and business owners to achieve their goals. We partner with departments to understand the requirements for each deal and drive the deal through to completion, advising on all legal aspects thereof. Day-to-day responsibilities. Work alongside the General Counsel to advise the Co-Founders, Board and C-Suite on complex and transformational transactions for the business (including capital raises; securitisations; M&A and IPO readiness). Lead the corporate and debt legal workstreams for the company, including the employee share scheme and investor relations (from a legal perspective). Provide commercial and strategic advice to various stakeholders within the business across a variety of commercial deals (digging deeper to understand the technical requirements and business rationale underpinning the deal) through to completion. Develop processes to scale the Legal Team (particularly in relation to the corporate and debt legal workstreams) in line with the growth of the business. Supervise and assist junior team members. We're looking for Ideally a minimum of 6-year PQE. A current practising certificate (qualified in England and Wales is preferred). Technical expertise in UK corporate law. Corporate experience as a private practice lawyer (top firm experience is a bonus). Ability to excel in advising on transformational matters. Undertake the execution of transactions and oversee junior lawyers assisting with this. Strong drafting, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Solutions-focused. Excellent attention to detail. Exceptional stakeholder and project management skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to drive matters forward. Proactive attitude and ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment. Bonus.
